Are you thinking of ways to be productive in quarantine? Do you get bored often and can’t find anything to look forward to each day? While social media has been pretty fun lately, especially with the challenges trending, it’s always best to focus on things that will allow you to grow intellectually.

There are various things you can do to improve yourself like; reading, trying new food recipes, starting or finishing that puzzle you put away for so long, exercising, taking online courses, listening to podcasts, and many more. As long as you’re engaging in brain-tasking challenges, you are doing well.

I believe this period is also for us to cut back on work-life and focus more on our well-being, and we should make the utmost use of it. Among other things, I enjoy listening to podcasts. Back in school, a friend and I were contemplating on starting our podcast because of how much we loved it.

Don’t know what a podcast is?

A Podcast is a recording of the audio discussion on a specific topic that you can listen to. It is similar to a radio channel. The difference is that you can listen to it anytime, download it on your mobile devices or PCs, and subscribe to various channels you might like. This dynamic medium is a perfect way to listen to a daily dose of inspiration wherever you are.

My friends and I are fond of sharing podcasts because what is knowledge if it isn’t to share? A plus side to podcasts is that it allows you to have meaningful conversations and discuss certain things with like minds. Ultimately, podcasts taught me to put my thoughts into words and share them with a large audience.

Since we have enough time to ourselves, I thought to share with you some of my favorite podcasts;

1. Nigerian-American: A Cold Night by eLDee the Don

2. Love+Radio: The Living Room by Diane Weipert

3. Ladies, we need to talk: How to make friends as an adult

4. ESSENCE Yes, Girl: Lauren and Cameron from Netflix’s ‘Love is Blind’

5. Dear Sugars: Emotional Abuse

6. Modern Love: Recognizing what they had, 20 years too late

7. Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend: Ellen DeGeneres

8. Homecoming: Timeout

9. Beautiful/Anonymous: My girlfriend cheated, I got a dog

10. Modern Love: When your greatest love is a friendship

I hope you enjoy as much as I did and most importantly, learn from them. You can recommend your favorite podcasts in the comment section, I’d be glad to listen to them.

Stay safe, Sholarpey.
